Wolnzach 1957 | Where it all began...
With nearly 70 years of industry experience, we look back on a rich and eventful history – something we are very proud of as a family-run business.

The foundation is laid
On July 1st, Georg, Elisabeth, and Albert Reith lease a workshop in Wolnzach on the former Jindrich property and establish a general partnership (OHG). They become regional and contract dealers for EICHER tractors and agricultural machinery.

1963
Relocation to Ingolstädter Straße
The newly founded Gebr. Reith OHG moves to Ingolstädter Straße, as the original workshop can no longer meet the needs of the growing customer base. The new premises cover 16,600 m², accommodating a workshop, office building, and warehouse.

A second business division
A second line of business is added: authorized representation for the sale and service of BMW vehicles.

JOHN DEERE joins the product portfolio
JOHN DEERE is added as a second tractor brand.

A tragic setback
Company co-founder Georg Reith dies in a traffic accident on May 22.

Opening of BMW dealership
On June 28, a completely new BMW dealership opens on the company’s premises.
1986
Development of mid-axle-device for hops
The Gebr. Reith OHG develops and presents its first parallel-guided mid-mounted implement for hop cultivation.

Generational change
After Albert Reith’s passing on May 31 (eight years after his brother Georg), the second generation takes over the business. Initially led by Albert Reith Jr., the company expands its automotive division and transitions to an exclusive JOHN DEERE dealership under his forward-looking leadership.

JOHN DEERE 50 Series Hop Tractors
Introduction of the popular JOHN DEERE 50 Series hop tractors, giving the dealership significant momentum.

The company leadership is split: Albert Reith Jr. takes over agricultural machinery, while Georg Reith Jr. manages the automotive division.

A new showroom for new and used machinery is built due to increasing demand.

A new JOHN DEERE hop tractor generation of the 6000 series is introduced.

The successful 50 Series is replaced by the 3000 Series.

The company celebrates its 40th anniversary and presents the new Reith rectangular hop baler with integrated weighing system.

Due to changes in JOHN DEERE’s dealership structure, Reith Landtechnik relinquishes A-dealer status and continues as an independent partner under another JOHN DEERE dealer.
A new woodchip heating system replaces the oil heating.

Farewell to Elisabeth Reith
Senior manager Elisabeth Reith passes away on March 3. As co-founder and longtime leader, she was instrumental in the company’s success.
